Westsound Recording Co., Polyrhythmics, and Lucky Brown are proud to re-release their 2016 summer anthem, "I BELIEVE IN LOVE" to support #blacklivesmatter, police reform and justice and equality for all people.
The musicians conceived the single as the foundation for a deeper collaboration between the two forces: Polyrhythmics, supporting and effortlessly adapting to focused audience energy conduction with Lucky in the lead singer/front man role and Lucky diving headfirst into the ideal democratic consciousness of the Polyrhythmics' collective collaborative method of song craft, recording, and performance. In fact, it was Polyrhythmics bass player Jason Gray who engineered and mixed this cut (all 9 guys in his living room and kitchen! and all live and direct!) compelling them to impress the "a Brown & Gray Production" hammer stamp upon the 45 label.
In Lucky's own words:
"…recording and committing to wax this universal sentiment with the gripping execution of this groove was appropriate for this stage of our careers…and [we are] using our gift of music as an attempt to deliver a message of unity and love to a world that, at times, seems poised to spiral into darkness…Fight fascism, end racism, abolish white supremacy, protect the earth, believe in love."
